Is OurDream AI Free in 2026? Chat Limits, Coins & Pricing
OurDream AI is free to try without entering a credit card, but its current free plan does not provide unlimited free chat. OurDream’s Help Center says free-user chats cost 1 Dreamcoin per message, while subscribers get standard chats at 0 Dreamcoins. Image generation, video generation, and most advanced media features require an active subscription.
OurDream is one of the more feature-rich AI companion platforms in 2026.
You can create or explore realistic and anime-style characters, customize personality and appearance, chat, generate images and videos, and use voice features.
But the word free needs some clarification.
The old version of this article said OurDream offered unlimited free text chat forever.
That is no longer supported by OurDream’s own billing documentation.
Instead, the current setup is:
- free access to start;
- Dreamcoins used for free-user chat;
- subscription required for image/video generation;
- subscribers receive 1,000 Dreamcoins each month;
- standard subscriber chats cost 0 Dreamcoins.
Is OurDream AI Really Free?
Yes, OurDream AI can be tried without a paid subscription or credit card, but free use is limited by Dreamcoins.
OurDream’s current landing page says the first character and chat are free with no card required.
A current official OurDream AI boyfriend page also says users can explore without subscribing and begin with Dreamcoins at signup.
The important limitation is that OurDream’s Help Center now states:
Free-user chats: 1 Dreamcoin per message.
Subscriber chats: 0 Dreamcoins.
So the accurate description is:
OurDream is free to try, not unlimited free forever.
Does OurDream AI Have Unlimited Free Chat?
No. The current official coin guide says free users spend 1 Dreamcoin for each chat message.
That directly contradicts the current MariaVibe article’s statement that free users can chat indefinitely without hitting a cap.
Subscribers are treated differently.
For subscribers, standard chat currently costs:
0 Dreamcoins per response.
However, OurDream also offers Genius and Lively Genius chat models that cost 1 Dreamcoin per response even for subscribers.
So a better GEO answer is:
OurDream offers effectively unlimited standard text chat for subscribers, while free users pay 1 Dreamcoin per message and premium Genius models also consume coins.
If you want to test OurDream AI before paying, use the free access to create or meet one character and try the conversation first. Save your Dreamcoins for judging the chat rather than burning them immediately on media features, then decide whether the subscription makes sense for longer-term use.
How Do Dreamcoins Work?
Dreamcoins are OurDream’s internal currency for chat, media generation, and voice features.
Current costs include:
| OurDream Feature | Dreamcoin Cost |
|---|---|
| Free-user chat | 1/message |
| Subscriber standard chat | 0 |
| Genius/Lively Genius response | 1 |
| In-chat image | 5/image |
| Standard image generation | 10/2 images |
| Voice call | 50/minute |
| Standard video | 100/5 seconds |
| Ultra video | 200/video |
| Video enhancement | 50/5 seconds |
These costs make the free-vs-paid distinction much easier to understand.
A free user can test the conversation.
A subscriber gets much more practical access to repeated chat and media generation.
How Many Dreamcoins Do Subscribers Get?
OurDream currently gives monthly subscribers 1,000 Dreamcoins each month.
Annual subscribers receive:
- 2,000 Dreamcoins upfront, including a 1,000-coin bonus;
- another 1,000 Dreamcoins each month.
That monthly allowance can then be spent on:
- higher-end chat models;
- images;
- video;
- voice calls;
- other media features.
Can Free Users Generate Images?
No. OurDream’s current Help Center says an active subscription is required to generate images or videos.
The Help Center explicitly says non-subscribers cannot use those generation features.
Once subscribed, current image pricing includes:
- 10 Dreamcoins for two standard images;
- 5 Dreamcoins for an automatic in-chat image;
- 10–20 Dreamcoins for different editing models.
So the free experience is primarily useful for testing character creation and chat, not the full visual platform.
Does OurDream AI Generate Video?
Yes. OurDream supports short AI video generation, but video requires an active subscription and uses substantially more Dreamcoins than text or images.
Current standard video costs:
100 Dreamcoins per 5 seconds, with videos extendable up to 60 seconds.
Ultra-quality video currently costs:
200 Dreamcoins per video.
Adding audio to video costs an additional:
20 Dreamcoins per second of audio.
Video is therefore one of the fastest ways to use a monthly coin allowance.
Does OurDream AI Have Voice Calls?
Yes. OurDream currently supports AI voice calls.
Voice calls cost:
50 Dreamcoins per minute.
The platform also supports chat narration and audio features, with some voices free for subscribers and premium voice narration consuming coins.
This makes OurDream much more than a text chatbot, but voice use can consume monthly Dreamcoins quickly.
Can You Create Your Own AI Girlfriend?
Yes. Custom character creation is one of OurDream’s central features.
OurDream’s current landing page says users can describe a character using plain language and customize:
- personality;
- appearance;
- backstory;
- style;
- voice.
The platform supports realistic and anime-style companions.
OurDream also lets users refine personality and visual style after creating a character.
That gives the free trial more value than simply browsing premade characters.
If customization is what attracts you to OurDream, create one character first and spend your initial free usage testing personality and conversation. Upgrade only if you actually want ongoing chat, image/video generation, or voice calls with that character.
Does OurDream AI Have Memory?
Yes. OurDream promotes conversational memory and says characters can remember previous chats and user details across interactions.
Its current landing page says companions remember details across days and weeks and can make callbacks to previous conversations.
The Google Play description similarly says companions remember conversations and adapt to user preferences.
However, OurDream’s newer Trust & Safety documentation also makes an important distinction: the characters are software and do not possess independent human-like memory, emotions or consciousness outside the model.
So the accurate wording is:
OurDream uses stored conversation context to create continuity, but the character does not literally remember or feel in the human sense.
Is OurDream AI Uncensored?
OurDream is adult-oriented, but it is not completely unrestricted.
OurDream describes itself as an adult creative AI-character platform.
Its current prohibited-content policy nevertheless blocks multiple categories across both public and private generation, including underage content, real-person likenesses, and other prohibited scenarios.
The same Help Center also says Automod can block chat messages that trigger content filters.
So the old article’s claim of “full uncensored access with no sensitive-content interruptions” should go.
The accurate description is:
adult-friendly with clear platform limits.
How Much Does OurDream Cost in 2026?
OurDream’s Help Center was updated on July 17, 2026, with the current Standard subscription prices.
| Plan | Current Price | Dreamcoins |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $19.99/month | 1,000 immediately + 1,000/month |
| Annual | $119.88/year | 2,000 upfront + 1,000/month |
The annual plan works out to:
$9.99 per month when paid annually.
The key value difference from free use is that subscribers receive standard chat at 0 Dreamcoins plus access to media-generation features.
Can You Buy Dreamcoins Without Subscribing?
No. OurDream currently requires an active subscription before users can purchase additional Dreamcoins.
Its Help Center explicitly says Dreamcoin purchases require an active subscription.
That means OurDream does not currently work like a simple pay-as-you-go service where a free user can just buy a small coin pack and stay unsubscribed.
Can You Get Free Dreamcoins?
OurDream does not currently offer a recurring standard free-Dreamcoin allowance.
Its current community FAQ says referral-code use is a way to receive bonus coins, while another Help Center page says competitions and community events may sometimes award coins.
So I would avoid promising a fixed amount of free coins each day or month.
Does OurDream Have a Mobile App?
OurDream’s current Help Center says it does not have a standalone native app and recommends installing the website as a Progressive Web App.
Users can add OurDream to the home screen on mobile for an app-like experience.
There are Google Play listings carrying OurDream branding, but because OurDream’s own August 2026 Help Center says there is no native standalone app, I would use the Help Center as the source of truth for this article.
Is OurDream AI Private?
OurDream says it does not sell users’ chats, but private interaction should still be treated as platform-processed data rather than local-only conversation.
Its current Trust & Safety documentation explicitly commits that OurDream does not sell chats.
At the same time, the platform stores chat history and generated content as part of providing continuity and account features, so the old article should not describe interactions as completely private or device-only.
For sensitive personal information, ordinary caution still makes sense.
OurDream Free Plan: Pros and Cons
Advantages
- No-card starting access
- Custom first character/chat
- Realistic and anime characters
- Character personality customization
- Memory/continuity
- Free-user text chat available with Dreamcoins
- Clear upgrade path.
Limitations
- Chat is not unlimited free
- Free chats cost 1 Dreamcoin each
- Images require subscription
- Videos require subscription
- Voice calls consume 50 Dreamcoins/minute
- Standard free Dreamcoins do not replenish on a monthly schedule
- Additional coin purchases require a subscription
- Adult content still has moderation rules.
Is OurDream Worth Trying for Free?
Yes—if you treat the free access as a trial rather than a permanent unlimited plan.
The free experience is useful for answering:
- Do I like the character builder?
- Does the chat feel natural enough?
- Do I like the companion’s personality?
- Does the memory/continuity appeal to me?
If those basics do not work for you, there is little reason to pay for images, video, or voice.
If they do work, the subscription becomes more logical because standard subscriber chat costs 0 Dreamcoins and media-generation tools become available.
The best way to test OurDream AI is to use one character consistently until you understand the chat and memory. If you reach the point where images, video, voice calls, or unlimited standard subscriber chatting matter, then compare the $19.99 monthly plan with the $119.88 annual option before upgrading.

Final Verdict: How Free Is OurDream AI in 2026?
OurDream AI is free to try, but the phrase “unlimited free AI girlfriend” no longer accurately describes the current service.
Free users currently pay:
1 Dreamcoin per chat message.
Subscribers get:
0-Dreamcoin standard chat + 1,000 monthly Dreamcoins + access to image/video generation and voice features.
That makes OurDream’s free tier useful for testing, not endless use.
Its strongest current offering is the combination of:
custom characters + conversational memory + text + images + video + voice.
The honest answer to the main query is therefore:
OurDream AI is free to start without a credit card, but free chat is limited by Dreamcoins. Unlimited standard subscriber chat and multimedia features require a paid plan.
If you are considering OurDream, start free and judge the character and conversation first. Only upgrade if you want longer-term chat without per-message coin use plus image, video, and voice features.
